Tonight, July 7th, Rock Hard Love hit Number 1 on the Amazon Erotica – Free list. I’m not sure why this happened suddenly, but I’m thrilled. This was my first book and I made it free to promote my other work. I guess it’s working. You have to give away a lot of books to make number 1. Thanks to everyone that has picked up a free copy and especially to those that paid for a copy prior. YOU GUYS ROCK!!
First off, I wanted to mention that Hard Rock Love is free just about everywhere and will remain that way. It’s a marketing gimmick but still it’s satisfying to have so many people grab a copy of my book. I get paid to do this but I do it because I like sharing stories with people. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every reader and fan and if you haven’t read the Rock Hard Series, go grab yourself a free copy.
Next, I’m fresh out of material. I’ve been working so hard completing the Rock Hard and Softail trilogies that I haven’t written anything else. But I’m working hard now and I want to give all of you readers and fans a sneak preview of what I’m working on. None of these are planned to be trilogies. That’s up to my readers. All my stories have room to expand and ideas that don’t make it in the final version. If a book is a success, I respond and write more of what you want. Simple as that. I want to tell the stories you want to read.
I’ve expanded these descriptions from those found in the beginning of Rock Hard Bliss:
Pitching Curves – When Penny discovers her husband is sleeping with his intern, she’s devastated, especially as she’s left to raise the kids while her ex plays with his new girlfriend. But a chance encounter leads to a torrid love affair with a Major League pitcher known for his wild ways and soon the tables have turned. Penny is having the time of her life and her ex and his girlfriend are expecting a new baby. But Penny’s ex isn’t satisfied with his new life and he decides to make trouble.
Rock & Roll Curves – Darcy’s big but she loves rock & roll. She never expected, however, the lead Singer of Dark Fire Love would choose her instead of her hot and thin best friend. However, a night of torrid passion is followed by heartache as the rock star disappears. Darcy is devastated and is sure he thought her weight made her an easy mark. But when a limousine appears to sweep her off to God knows where, maybe she was all wrong about her rock star lover after all.
Sapphic Curves – When a sexy lesbian comes on to Maddie, she brushes the other woman off. However, the Sapphic temptress is persistent and Maddie ends up in bed with the wild lesbian. Sometimes the one you fall for isn’t the one you expect but our curvy heroine never expected that she would find love with another woman. I guess this one should be subtitled Big Girls & Bad Girls.
Havana Curves – An American girl finds herself trapped in 1950’s Cuba, held there by a debt to the mob. However, a mysterious man takes an interest in the curvy American beauty. He’s a wealthy cigar factory owner and he purchases the debt and saves her. But can she save him when he’s targeted as a traitor as Castro comes to power?
That’s what I’m working on right now. Pitching Curves is being edited as I write this and Rock & Roll Curves is almost written. Now, Sapphic Curves might not appeal to all my fans, but I like experimenting and breaking new ground. You never now, you might like a walk on the other side. Havana Curves is a historical piece set during the Cuban Revolution. It was a bad time, but love always finds a way. This is possibly the first in a new collection of historical erotic romances. More to come on that soon!
I’ve been collaborating with fellow authors (though I did very little actual work) on a new how-to title. How to Find Paid and Free Erotica is your guide to finding all the sexy erotic romance and searing hot smut your little heart desires. Many retailers make it hard for readers to find sexy stories that so many women (and men) crave. Apple is probably the worst offender but Amazon isn’t far behind.
Other sites just have poor search engines that make finding what you want difficult at best. Kobo books is the best example. How to Find Paid and Free Erotica is your guide to navigating the filters and censorship to find what your looking for. We all have fantasies and some are rather dirty but no one should ever feel bad about it. Unfortunately, many book retailers don’t agree but now you can have the tools you need to find what you want to read no matter what it is. Thumbing your nose at them when you do it is optional.
Grab a free copy and get the ammo you need to fight back against the knuckleheads at Apple, Amazon and others who think it’s their duty to decide what you should and shouldn’t read. You can find How to Find Paid and Free Erotica free at most retailers but I’ve provided the link to Amazon (that’s where most of us buy ebooks). For the record, I don’t make any money from this and neither does anyone else. It’s free and provided as a service to readers.
Happy reading and thanks to the peeps that made this happen! You know who you are 😉
Smashwords is having it’s annual Read and Ebook Week. Rock Hard Love is free starting today, Monday, March 3rd, through Friday, March 9th. Just surf on over to Smashwords and use the coupon code RW100 at checkout. You can get instructions on how to load the various formats onto you’re device here.
Buying ebooks is easier on Amazon, B&N, etc., but Smashwords sells most of the self-published ebooks on the market, they pay authors more and most importantly, they support independent authors and freedom of speech. Last year when PayPal attempted to censor ebooks, Smashwords stood tall and fought for authors while other retailers threw us under the bus.
I’m not telling you where to shop but while you’re there, check the site out. Tell your friends that many, many books are free there this week and pick up a few yourself. Most importantly, tell them my book is free. 😉 Spread the word, tweet it from the roof tops. Go grab some free books!! If you want, go back and buy your books there and support a good company that supports authors.
